Kara Zor-El is Superman’s teenage cousin from the Kryptonian city of Argo. She is actually older than Superman, being a teenager when he was a baby, but was cryogenically frozen by and along with her parents to survive the planet’s demise. Years later, Kara arrived on Earth in a rocket ship that hit Gotham City. She was taken in by the Kents, Superman’s adoptive parents, with the cover story that she was their niece. She has a friendship with Robin and Batgirl.
